受九华山断裂影响，莲花峰花岗岩体发育密集的北东向节理裂隙，在风化、流水侵蚀及重力作用下，沿节理、裂隙崩塌，崩塌岩块滚动、堆积在坡脚或沟谷，形成大小混杂的崩塌堆积体。这些崩塌堆积体有的形成洞穴，有的则巧妙组合成形态各异的象形石景观，构成了独特的崩塌堆积景观群。

莲峰云海景区典型的崩塌体景观包括崩塌堆积景观（变形金刚）、崩塌堆积景观（洞窟藏经）、崩塌堆积景观（观音洞）以及崩塌残留景观（神仙叨酒）。

Affected by Jiuhuashan fault, the granite masses ofLotus Peak have developed dense northeast-trending joints and fissures. under the effect of weathering, water erosion, and gravitational forces, rock masses break away from the mother rock, fall or roll down to the toe of the slope orin valleys, formingmixed-sized collapse accumulations. Some of these collapse accumulations form caves, while others ingeniously combine to create variousgrotesquely-shaped rocklandscapes, resulting in a unique collapse accumulation landscape group.

Typical collapse landscapes inLotus Peak Sea of Clouds Scenic Area include collapse accumulation landscape (Transformers),collapse accumulation landscape (Sutra-hidden Cave),collapse accumulation landscape (Kwan-yin Cave), and collapse residual landscapes (Immortal Drunkenness).

구화산단열의영향으로연화봉화강암체의발육이밀집된북동방향절리균열은풍화, 유수침식 및 중력작용하에 절리, 균열을 따라 붕괴되고 붕괴암괴가 굴러다니며 비탈길이나 골짜기에 쌓여 크기가 뒤섞인 붕괴퇴적체를 형성한다. 이런 붕괴퇴적체는 어떤 것은 동굴을 형성하고 어떤 것은 형태가 각기 다른 상형석 경관으로 교묘하게 조합하여 독특한 붕괴퇴적경관군을 구성한다.
