森林是陆地生态系统中最重要的碳汇之一。森林碳汇是指森林植物通过光合作用吸收并固定二氧化碳以减少大气二氧化碳浓度，是森林生态系统服务功能的重要体现。有效提升森林碳汇功能是落实“双碳”目标重要生态途径之一。

森林碳汇功能是森林五大碳库固碳能力的综合体现，包括森林植被地上和地下生物量、木质残体、凋落物和土壤碳库。森林碳汇不仅受其树龄、树种组成等自身因素的影响，也与其所处的生境和气候条件密切相关。通过森林经营、森林培育等方式，可显著提升森林碳汇功能。

Forests are one of the most important carbon sinks in terrestrial ecosystems. The forest carbon sink refers to the process in which forest plants absorb and sequester carbon dioxide through photosynthesis, thereby reducing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This is a significant manifestation of the ecosystem services provided by forest ecosystems. Effectively enhancing the carbon sink function of forests is one of the important ecological approaches to achieving the “Dual Carbon” targets.

The carbon sink function of forests is a comprehensive reflection of the carbon sequestration capacity of top 5 carbon pools of forest, which include above-ground and below-ground vegetation biomass, woody debris, litter, and soil carbon pool. Forest carbon sinks are not only influenced by internal factors such as tree age and species composition, but also closely related to the habitat and climatic conditions in which they exist. Through forest management, silvi culture, and other methods, the carbon sink function of forests can be significantly enhanced.

삼림은 육지 생태계에서 가장 중요한 탄소 흡수원 중의 하나이다. 삼림탄소흡수원이란 삼림식물이 광합성을 통해 이산화탄소를 흡수하고 고정시켜 대기의 이산화탄소농도를 감소시키는것을 가리키는데 삼림생태계의 기능의 중요한 구현이다. 삼림탄소흡수기능을 효과적으로 제고하는것은 ‘이중탄소’ 목표를 실현하는 중요한 생태경로 중의 하나이다.

삼림탄소흡수기능은 삼림의 5대 탄소창고의 탄소고정능력의 종합구현으로서 삼림식생지상과 지하생물량, 목질잔체, 낙하물과 토양탄소창고를 포함한다. 삼림탄소흡수원은 그 수령, 수종구성 등 자체요소의 영향을 받을 뿐만 아니라 그가 처한 생경과 기후조건과도 밀접히 연관된다. 삼림 경영, 삼림 육성 등 방식을 통해 삼림탄소흡수기능을 현저하게 향상시킬 수 있다.
