花岗岩体的球状风化产物，其表层风化物被剥离以后，风化的残余部分多呈球形，故称石蛋地貌。由于多具砂性，疏散易蚀，故花岗岩山坡又易引起严重的水土流失，沿节理常有沟谷发育。
