Ripple mark structure is a kind of undulating bedding plane structure formed by the movement of wind, water, wave and other media on the surface of sediments. According to its cause of formation, it can be divided into three types: wave ripple mark, flow ripple mark and wind ripple mark. Different types of ripple marks can cuase different types of bedding. Ripple mark is a typical sedimentary structure which can be an important symbol to analyze sedimentary environment.
