石英砂岩经新构造运动后，在风化、流水侵蚀等外力作用下，加之垂直节理发育，易发生崩塌，形成石峰。远观此石峰由顶端至中段裂成两瓣，如被沉香利斧劈开，勇救其母，山间利斧清晰可见。

After the neotectonics vertical joints and fissures developed in the quartz sandstone under the effect of exogenous processes like weathering and water erosion. Gravitational collapse took place on rock mass and formed the stone peak. Seen from afar, its top looks like being chopped off into halves from in the middle.
