九华山大断裂南北纵贯九华山地质公园全境,长33千米。断裂带两侧的升降盘分别形成花岗岩山岭峰脊、丘陵、盆地。九华山大断裂带经流水侵蚀搬运呈线性峡谷,如闵园峡谷。九华山断裂与派生的旁侧节理控制了九华山地形发育与展布,节理裂隙与流水、冻融、重力、生物风化等地质营力塑造了多姿的九华山花岗岩石峰群山。

Jiuhuashan Large Fault

Jiuhuashan Large Fault extends over 33 km in north-south direction through Jiuhuashan Geopark. The uplifting and descending sides of the Fault respectively form granite mountain ridge, hills and basin. Jiuhuashan Large Fault Zone was changed into linear canyons by running water erosion and transportation, Minyuan Canyon being an example. Jiuhuashan Fault and its derived side joints together control the development and structure of Jiuhuashan’s topography. Jiuhuashan’s magnificent granitic peaks and wonderful rock shapes were produced by joints and geological agents such as running water, freeze thawing, gravity and biological weathering.

该断裂位于九华山园区中部,走向北东7°,区内长33Km,且南北两端均伸出区外。主要发育于九华复式岩体第三次钾长花岗岩中。断面倾向东,倾角60°-80°,破碎带宽10-100余米。断裂平移距离约150米。构造岩由破碎带中心向两侧为糜棱岩-角砾岩-破裂岩的横向分带性,最外侧为劈理化带,沿断裂带在上闵园充填有安山玄武玢岩脉,在南部充填有宽约10米,长1000余米的石英脉。东盘南阳林场一带中上寒武统被断层左行牵引发生褶皱。断裂带在遥感影像图上呈明显的线状影像特征,地貌上从南面进天门至北部下闵园形成一长达8 Km的沟谷,局部形成峡谷。南部充填石英脉而形成南北向的山脊,该断裂带在航、卫片上可见。 根据岩体剥蚀程度及充填的安山玄武玢岩脉,说明该断裂带切割很深。从区域特征分析,该断裂带至少表现为两期活动性质,早期活动控制了九华山复式岩体第三、四期岩浆的侵入及一系列脉岩的分布,晚期则为左旋剪切,并破坏了早期侵入的岩体及脉岩。 断层东盘相对下降,向北平移,属正平移断层,力学性质为压扭性。
